My first time in West Africa for a mission aiming at measuring human impact on mammal/bird populations in Ankasa national park. Illegal poaching is bringing mammal populations to a fast decline and deforestation around the park is facilitating access to the poachers. The forest and its biodiversity remain beautiful and some ONGs are fighting to protect what is left (2019)
